I can't deny that the IRA have committed some appalling crimes, but they're fighting for freedom from British control of the six northern counties of Ireland. I am not ashamed to be a republican, or to be a supporter of the IRA, they played a vital role in securing some independance for Ireland. But no side is truly "good". You complain about the violence of the IRA but you don't seem to say much about loyalists. The Black and Tans maybe? The committed just as appalling crimes as the IRA.
