The League of Women Voters Hosts Democratic Challenger Dave Mejias and Republican Incumbent Peter King in Their ONLY Public Candidate Debate
The League of Women Voters of East Nassau will host the ONLY public candidate debate for New York ’s Third Congressional district. Featured at the debate will be Nassau County Legislator Dave Mejias, the Democrat and Working Families nominee and Congressman Peter King, the Republican, Conservative and Independence nominee. Candidates will take questions directly from the audience during this hour-long debate.

NBC was filming. News12 held a separate debate earlier in the day. I'd say 60% of supporters were Mejias' and a number of hard-hitting questions were asked of King (and deflected or turned into 9/11 rhetoric). A successful event in a room full of voters who strongly identify with one candidate.
