Stolen Signs

From the front lawn of my house.

And it wasn't the wind.

Republicans are real classy.

This has been a pattern for the King people. They're getting desperate...

You've only had one sign stolen? I've had four!

A friend of mine who lives in Glen Cove and a few of her neighbors' King signs were stolen, ripped up and thrown to the side of the road. Its happening on both sides so get over it.

Uh oh. The infamous RT Strategies poll that Mejias supporters love to quote just came out with new numbers saying King now by 7. Not good news when your losing points the closer you get to the election, especially when all the other New York Dem opponents have huge leads. I still don't believe its that close. Even the liberal blog the DailyKos says to take that poll with a grain of salt.

Well since King doesn't have a campaign plan, I guess he is just going to steal signs.

Look a bit more into the detail of that poll.

Among certain voters King is u by only 1 point.

The poll seems to oversample Republicans. They ask a party ID question in that poll. The GOP has the 13 point voter registration advantage, but this part of the country is the inverse of the south. Party id is generally a few points less GOP and a few points more Dem than Registration (the south is generally a few points more GOP and a few points less Dem in Party ID than voter registration.

Also with the way things are going for the GOP this year, the Dems at the top of the ticket, the Dems are very likely to have a stronger turnout. The true voter id in turnout is much closer to the 5 point GOP advantage in the certain voter section, than the 13 point GOP advantage in id you see in voter turnout.

Also other oddities. king with a strong lead among seniors (with social security and medicare issues, no way that is true). In this district their has always been a geneder gap, their is no gender gap in this poll. Among, non-whites King has a 27 point lead. Anyone who thinks that is true well.....

Anyway looking at the ineternals of the poll it seems like the real truth is much closer to the certain voter group than the likely voter group

oh, were you referring to the Dem opponent in the fourth district who has no Republican opponent? because if so, bravo, you're correct.

Hey, if anyone thinks that King is suddenly spending $1.6 million because simply because of some polls that should not be taken seriously, well, give me a break. He has a real challenge and he knows it. The real poll is election day, lets make it happen.
