We haven't mentioned Kings presumptive opponent in some time so we're going to provide more info on Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg...

Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) is serving his fourth term as a Nassau County Legislator following a long history of community involvement. He represents the 19th Legislative District, which includes the communities of Bellmore, North Bellmore, Merrick, North Merrick, and parts of Freeport and Wantagh.....
With a rare combination of degrees – in chemical engineering from Cooper Union and in law from Brooklyn Law School – Denenberg is uniquely qualified in the environmental and high tech fields. As Chairman of the legislature’s Planning, Development and Environment Committee, Legislator Denenberg conducted hearings on the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, open space, smart growth, Nassau’s master plan, and annual energy summits. The hearings led to the successful sale of the Islanders, development of an open space program that includes funding for the purchase of parcels of land throughout the county, smart growth initiatives, updates to the master plan and a LIPA/Nassau energy initiative....
Legislator Denenberg is a partner in the New York Law firm of Gibbons, Del Deo, Dolan, Griffinger and Veccione, where he specializes in intellectual property and environmental law. He represents private individuals in lawsuits concerning environmental contamination. He also represents high tech companies and investors in complex patent and trademark matters.....
Legislator Denenberg has an extensive list of community activities that include serving on the boards of SPLASH (Stop Polluting and Littering and Save Our Harbors), and the Merrick Kiwanis Club. He is a member of the Bellmore Kiwanis, Wantagh Preservation Society; Freeport and Seaford Historical Societies, and the Central Bellmore, Central Merrick, Guy Lombardo on the Water, Merrick Estates, Merrick Gables, Merrick Park, Old Lindenmere, Seaford, Smith’s Pond and Wantagh Seaford Civic/Homeowner’s Associations. He is also immediate past president of Congregation Ohav Shalom in Merrick and a trustee of the Conference of Jewish Organizations of Nassau County.
Legislator Denenberg serves as chairperson of the Planning, Development and the Environment Committee; vice chairperson of the Public Works Committee; and a member of the Economic and Community Development and Labor, Government Services and Operations, Health and Social Services, Judiciary, and Rules committees.
Legislator Denenberg and his wife, Cara, have three children: Amanda, 16; Danielle, 13; and Aron, 12.
